Summertime and the livin’ is easy…

I love that song, which inspires us to slow down with the hot temps and search for some new sunny locations to enjoy the summer. As I believe many times, visitors see a city or location better than sometimes its residents, I have asked European travel writer, Alicia Maroto, to share with us her two favorite states to visit in the USA during the summer.

Looking for Some Sun? We’ve Got Just the States for You!

We’re coming up to the sunny season right now in a lot of countries. Most of you will be thinking of jetting off to the Mediterranean islands and countries, which is fine. We’re not saying that you won’t find plenty of sun and fun there. However, if you’re looking for some serious fun, and possibly a once in a lifetime opportunity, then why not consider going over to the States in search of your sun fix. Some of the states have the most wonderful weather at this time of year, and you definitely won’t be short of things to do. Don’t get us wrong, you’ll definitely have to put your hand in your pocket for this one, but it’s an opportunity that a lot of people just won’t get to do, so if you can, you’re going to have to make the most of it. Here are my top two sunniest states at this time of year; the ones I really think you should head to.

Florida

We’re pretty much listing the créme de la créme of the sunny states, and what better way to kick it off than talking about Florida. Florida really does have it all, and people obviously head there mainly for the theme park attractions. You could go for a two week holiday to Florida, and spend every single day at one of their theme park attractions or waterparks. This might sound like a meal to some of you, so we don’t expect you to do that. What we do expect you to do is have a look at companies such as Tripelli, and see if you can find yourself a nice little villa in a central location. Rent a car, and you’re set up for your holiday in the states. None of the hotels are all-inclusive, so you’re not missing out on anything by not staying in one. The villas in America are absolutely huge as well, so you might just feel like you’ve walked into an episode of MTV Cribs!

While in Florida, don’t miss Miami and it’s sunny yet tranquilo (calm) out vibe. Miami is famous for its beaches, where you could again, spend the day soaking up so rays! The more time you spend in Miami, the more you’ll warm to the way of life. People working out on the beach, rollerblading around, and the nightlife really is amazing if you were looking for something to do.

California

California is not so far from Florida, but it definitely is a lot more relaxed. It home to LA and people love to go there for the more chilled out vibes. It’s riddled with celebs, so make sure that you have your camera ready as well. If you want things to do, California has that. If you’re looking for something a bit more reserved, you can spend the day lying on one of their beaches, soaking up the hot sun!

With both states, you really would have to put your hand in your pocket, as they are a bit pricey!
