Hello adventurers and sun worshipers!

If you are like me you want a good dose of Vitamin D on your next vacation, I suggest you look no further than below. I have enlisted the expertise from a peer travel writer, Whitney Brooks, who is currently in the U.S.

Enjoy Whitney’s recommendations, but don’t forget your sunblock and sunglasses!

There are a lot of things that you might want to get from your next vacation. Something which almost everyone wants, however, is a little sun. Even if you currently reside somewhere relatively sunny, you probably want to keep that going while you’re on holiday as well. The good news here is that it is pretty easy to plan a trip around the US without losing sight of the sun for very long. One of the major considerations, of course, is to make sure that you have a few particularly sunny locations on your trip itinerary. But where exactly should you aim to go? In this article, we are going to take a look at some of the best sunny locations in the US. Consider these as you are planning your next trip.

Florida

First of all, we will start with a slightly more obvious one. No matter who you are, you will at some point have thought about travelling to Florida for a trip. Done right, this can be a great state for planning the trip of your absolute dreams. And of course, when it comes to sun, there is nowhere better than this. One of the great boons to travelling around Florida is that you will almost always have a good deal of sun. Most of Florida is likely to be fairly hot even during the winter months, which makes it a great choice of destination when you want to travel a little bit cheaper but without sacrificing the warmth. And that’s not the only great thing about this particular destination.

In Florida, you can see and do more than you might imagine. Although for some it has something of a reputation for being a little too simple to fully enjoy as a vacation, nothing could be further from the truth. If you plan ahead, you will be able to enjoy many great activities during your stay. And as for accommodation, you will not be disappointed with the kind of choice you have. In fact, Florida is a great destination choice for those who want something of a tropical themed holiday without going further afield. If you stay somewhere like the Jupiter Bay resort condos, you will be able to have the full experience of bay living, but in an affordable and easy to reach location.

This, coupled with the fact that you have something for every member of the family, makes Florida a pretty much perfect choice for anyone – whether you are travelling alone, as a couple, or as a larger family, you are unlikely to be disappointed with this choice.

This next choice is not the kind of destination which usually makes it to a list of sunny places to visit. However, that is probably not for a lack of heat. Las Vegas is incredibly warm all year round, and the only reason it normally won’t be on a list like this is that it usually has other attractions to boast. But you can ditch whatever notions you might have about Las Vegas. No matter what you may or may not want to do there, one thing is for sure: it is a perfect destination for someone who truly loves to holiday in the heat. Let’s not forget, it is in a desert, and you are unlikely to find it cool at any time of day or night.

Of course, it will help if you also happen to be a fan of gambling. But even then, that is far from being the only kind of entertainment available in this sprawling city. Are you a fan of magic? If so, you might be delighted at a number of magic performances you have to choose between. With a city like Vegas, you never really know what you’re going to get. If you are happy with the heat but don’t mind being in the city, you could probably do a lot worse than visiting Las Vegas this year or next.

Lovers of the sun: try Phoenix. This is an incredibly warm place, where it is sunny around 85 percent of the entire year. With that kind of percentage behind you, you know you are making a good choice with this one. It’s possible that you have considered Phoenix before, only to dismiss it as not having enough to do or see. But the truth is that this is the ideal location for when you want to just sit back and really enjoy yourself in the heat. Everyone loves a relaxation holiday, and it turns out that Phoenix is just about the perfect place to do just that. If you are planning a trip around the US anytime soon, be sure to include Phoenix in your list of possible destinations. Something truly great about it is that you have a good mixture of urban and rural. This essentially means that there is a little something for everyone, and you are bound to be glad that you gave it a go at least once. Plus, prices here are often considerably cheaper than neighboring areas.

We couldn’t have a list like this without hopping over to sunny Arizona at least once. And of all the destinations in Arizona to choose between, it’s just got to be Tucson. Although generally it is seen as a retiree’s place to sit back and relax, there is no reason you can’t do the same. And we are talking here about a true desert town, where you struggle to even grow grass – so you know that you are going to be bound to get a lot of sun. If you want somewhere sunny you can stay for a long time, you could probably do much worse than Tucson – and it will be great just as a stopping over kind of town, too.

Whatever you want, you are bound to find a good amount of sun in many places across the US. If you want a longer trip, you could even probably chart a course over several of these, and have the time of your life doing so.
