When it comes to planning a relaxing break in Europe, Nice is the perfect destination. The capital of the French Riviera, this seaside city has a lot more to it than the beautiful beaches that it is famous for.
With it’s unique mix of elegance, city life and year round sunshine, Nice is somewhere that is suitable for all travelers. Everyone from backpackers to families will fall in love with this amazing city. There are some incredible restaurants here; the cultural heritage is fantastic, and the beaches are out of this world.
This city has so much to it that you could spend a month here and still not have seen and done everything. Of course, the city’s most popular attraction by far is its beautiful beaches, which are perfect for relaxing on.
If you are in need of a relaxing break, Nice’s slow-paced lifestyle, makes it the perfect destination. In case you need a little more persuading here is my guide to why Nice is the ideal location for a break:
Lots of lovely accommodation to choose from
For me at least, the key thing when it comes to booking a relaxing trip is finding the perfect accommodation. In Nice, there are so many options when it comes to where to stay, that you shouldn’t have any problems finding the perfect place.
While most of Nice’s hotels are amazing, the Boscolo Exedra Nice is particularly special. If you want to live in luxury for a few days, this five-star hotel is the perfect place to stay.
However, if you fancy staying somewhere a little more tranquil, you might find booking a villa a better choice. If you have a look online, you should be able to find lots of lovely Nice holiday rentals to choose from.
The weather is warm all year around
There’s nothing more relaxing than sunbathing on a beach in the sunshine, and as Nice is warm all year around, it’s the perfect destination. Whether you want to visit now, or in a couple of months time, you will still be guaranteed nice, warm weather.
Nice is blessed with lots of lovely beaches, but the best ones are Coco Beach and Blue Beach. While these may be overcrowded during the summer months, out of season they should be a lot calmer and perfect for relaxing on.
The food is to die for
Being a seaside city, Nice has lots of amazing seafood restaurants to choose from. As well as lots of other eateries, serving all manner of delicious local delicacies. So whether you are a fan of fish and seafood or not, there will be a dish that’s perfect for you.
When you’re in Nice, you have to eat in La Petite Maison, a restaurant serving Mediterranean food. Another eatery that you should try is Cafe de Turin, which serves a range of exquisite seafood dishes. There are also lots of other lovely restaurants, but these are two of the best
There are so many amazing reasons to visit Nice; these are just a few of them. If you are thinking of planning a trip to Europe, Nice should definitely be on your shortlist.
