Is it true that everything is bigger in Texas?

Is the best Mexican food across the Rio Grande in Texas?

Well, I have asked my peer travel writer, Jack Greene, to shed some light on these topics with travel tips in the Lone Star State.

Your Texas Trip Sorted for 2018

Texas is the second largest state in the United States, so as you can imagine there are plenty of things to do while you’re there. This makes it a hotspot for tourists and travellers, so it’s understandable that if you’re planning a trip to Texas this year that you want as much information as possible so that you can make the most out of your trip. Here’s a quick guide on how to ensure that your trip to Texas is sorted for 2018.

Make sure you’ve packed everything

As you may already know, packing is one of the worst parts of travelling because you want to make sure that you’ve got everything that you need. Do some research on the expected weather while you’re travelling, and if you’re planning on going hiking or doing any other activities, make sure that you’ve got everything taken into consideration so that you don’t accidentally miss it off. Here’s a fab list for easy and efficient packing! Remember, don’t forget to take your camera!

Check out places to stay

If you’re not the type to spend too many nights sleeping out in the wilderness, now is the perfect time to begin looking at places that you could stay while you’re on your travels. A great place to stay is in the Sleep Inn & Suites Austin in the North East, where you can stay in luxury hotel rooms with plenty of amenities.

If you are more of the outdoorsy type, then why not check out some campsites and book yourself a pitch before it’s too late! There’s something really magical about waking up among the wildlife.

See the natural beauties

You can’t visit Texas without going to see the Grand Canyon, and the other canyons that the state proudly holds. It’s one of those experiences where you can feel the immensity while you’re there, and you can’t help but snap dozens of shots so that you never forget the experience. It’s also a great day out for families too, so if you’re travelling with your family it will certainly be a day to remember!

Try the local delicacies

If you’re the type that loves to try new foods, then Texas has got one hell of a ride in store for you! The state is proud of their Texan chili, enchiladas, fajitas and quesadillas. If this food is something that you like to enjoy at home, then you will enjoy it even more straight from the source!

Enjoy yourself!

Finally, while planning a trip is useful so that you can make the most of your time away, don’t forget to enjoy yourself and go with the flow at times! There’s so much to see and do – you definitely won’t be disappointed!
